Alla rukousaiheita omalta kuluneelta viikoltani, sekä laajemmasta rukouskirjeestä jota päivittää nainen jonka kanssa työskentelen.
Viime viikolla tapasin erään uhrin joka joutunut mukaan todella isoon ihmiskaupparinkiin, jossa yli 100 tyttöä. Tämä uhri miettii jatkuvasti itsemurhaa, ja sanoi vievänsä pienen poikansa mukanaan. Rukoillaan Jumalan kosketusta tämän naisen elämään. Vaikka hän ei usko Jumalaan millään tasolla, hän antoi minulle luvan rukoilla puolestaan tavatessamme. Rukoillaan myös suojelusta pojalle.
Yksi raskaana oleva uhri on sairaalassa raskauskomplikaatioiden takia. Vauvan pitäisi syntyä muutaman viikon sisällä. Rukoillaan paranemista ja sitä että synnytys voisi sujua hyvin.
Iso kiitosaihe on se, että eräs nainen johon olen tutustunut hevostalleilla haluaa tulla mukaan auttamaan työssämme! Tapaan hänet huomenna ja kerron enemmän siitä mitä ja miten teemme. Uusien ihmisten mukaantulo on ollut rukouksissa jo kauemman aikaa, sillä uhreja on paljon, mutta auttajia liian vähän.
Rukousaiheena edelleen ja jatkuvasti puolivälin talo, sekä se, että saisimme perustettua toimivan organisaation jonka kautta kerätä varoja.
Victims’ issues
– Two victims have been witnesses in the biggest trafficking courtcase to date. They are under a lot of pressure and they have to participate in many hearings. The pressure is affecting their family lives (both victims have husbands and children). We pray that the ordeal they have to go through will soon be over and that they will be able to put all this behind them and move on. We pray for God’s wisdom for us to know how to handle the fact that one of the husbands finds it very difficult to come to terms with what had happened to his wife. We are thankful to God that He has provided a pro-bono counselor ready to work with him and the wife. We pray that they will be open to this.
– We pray that the Social Welfare will design a plan whereby victims who do not have courtcases (because the trafficking took place in the occupied areas) will receive financial support while they are in Cyprus. There are 3 victims in this situation at the moment. They receive no support. We are grateful however that the authorities have provided free medical care.
Other matters
– We are at a standstill again with the repatriation of the Algerian mother and her children. Please pray that the door will be opened again and the Embassy will proceed with the papers, as they promised before. We are also praying for an organization that we could connect with in Algeria, so that the family would have some initial support with integration.
– No progress on the case of the 13 years old girl married after her passport was forged. The police are investigating false marriage claims but do not see a criminal element in the action of the man! We pray for a breakthrough in this case.
